You can create a new dataset by clicking on the Create new dataset link in the navigation bar or the button of the same name on the main datasets page. You will then be prompted to name your dataset (which you can edit at any point) and upload the input file that you'd like Parsel to extract tables from.
We are able to detect tables in .pdf & .jpeg input files but are currently only accepting .pdf files. We will soon be building support for .jpeg files.
We support different types of output file types, depending on your subscription plan. Our pricing page shows you what type of output formats you can obtain on each plan.

Datasets can be searched for, sorted, renamed and deleted, all from the main datasets page.
You can cancel at any point in time and you will not be charged from the next billing period onwards. At the end of the billing period in which you cancelled your account, you will be downgraded to a free account. This means that you will still have access to Parsel and all of your datasets but will have limited features and page credits for any new documents you would like to process. We unfortunately are not able to issue partial refunds in the middle of the billing period.
You can always upgrade, downgrade or cancel your subscription at any time. We are unable to issue partial refunds or prorate subscription fees if you choose to upgrade or downgrade. However, we do carry forward your remaining page credits into the next billing period. So if you choose to upgrade in the middle of your billing period, we will charge you the full price for the upgraded plan but we will add whatever page credits you had remaining on your previous plan to your allocation for the next billing period on your new, upgraded plan. This means that for the first billing period of your new plan, you will be allocated more page credits than what is listed on our plans page.
You can delete your account at any point in time which will cancel your subscription, if you have one, and permanently delete all of your datasets.
We're always happy to see where we can improve our AI, so if you find that Parsel misses some tables in your documents or parses their data incorrectly, we'd be happy to hear from you. If you're comfortable sharing your input file with us at support@parsel.ai, or via our chat tool, we'll take a look and get back to you.
Parsel currently only supports the parsing of table data from input files. At present we do not support the parsing of form data (e.g. fields where individuals fill out responses) but we're considering doing so. If this is of interest to you, give us a shout at support@parsel.ai or via our chat widget.
Numbers are displayed in different formats in different countries. While Parsel's default number formatting is English (the number format typically used in anglophone countries, i.e. 10,000.00), we also support documents with Continental (i.e. 10.000,00) and International (10 000.00 or 10 000,00) number formats. This is important information for Parsel's algorithm to properly parse your table data. If the documents you are processing typically display numbers in either the Continental or International formats, you can update your default number format on your account settings page. The number format can also be changed on an ad hoc basis for each dataset during the dataset creation process.
